Charlotte & Ed’s Hampshire marquee wedding took place in the delightful village of Hartley Wintney in Hampshire.
At least I think it’s a village…or maybe it’s a town as it’s quite large for a village…
Anyway, Charlotte & Ed’s wedding took place here on Saturday 21st June with a ceremony at St John’s church followed by a marquee reception at the bride’s parents house on the common.
This wedding, like so many that I cover, was a spin off from another, – Sam & Andy’s wedding that took place at Castle Howard in Yorkshire a few years back and it was great to catch up with them and a few familiar faces.
Charlotte wore a Ronald Joyce dress from Confetti & Lace of Farnham and Ed a morning suit complete with top hat.
Flowers were by White Lilac and the cake by the bride’s mother, Jocelyn.
A string trio played throughout the drinks reception and the evening band was Juice Box.
Catering was by Whitewater Catering and marquee by Carron Marquees.
The couple honeymooned in Zanzibar. Or The Seychelles. Perhaps both, – it was a secret!
The highlight of this wedding and what made it especially ‘unique’ was the bunting decorated walk that was created across the common, through the trees along a winding path between house and church. Absolutely delightful and a bit of a change from a white Rolls!

Having been guests at Sam and Andy’s wedding and then seeing the photos afterwards when we got engaged the one thing we knew before we had even set a date was that we wanted Simon to be our photographer. Somehow Simon captured Sam and Andy’s wedding beautifully and we barely noticed he was there. Ours wasn’t quite the normal run up to a wedding, Charlotte had an exam two weeks before the wedding and had been studying since the beginning of the year which meant we had to think ahead and do as much preparation ahead of time. We had been warned the last few weeks would be stressful but somehow we managed the entire wedding planning process without a single disagreement…even the table plan! Being from a big family had its benefits in the final two days, the Peats rallied around doing whatever needed to be done to ensure the final little touches were complete. The day can only be described as perfect, to be able to walk to church and be blessed with such amazing weather was incredible going back to a stunning marquee in Charlotte’s family home with our greatest friends and family really was perfect. The day flew past but we loved every second of it. On seeing these photos your mind is back in every photo reliving each second….we would love to do it all over again!
Thank you so much Simon x
