Venice Location Portrait Shoot
Post-wedding honeymoon photo-shoot in Venice including at the Hotel Cipriani, Grand Canal and Orient Express.
First we had the pleasure of covering Sarah & Brian’s wedding at the Temple Of The Four Winds at Castle Howard before being commissioned to photograph and film a small part of their honeymoon in Venice.
To some, it might sound a bit bizarre, – intrusive even to accompany a couple on their honeymoon, but this is not the case as we were actually only with Sarah & Brian for perhaps half a day at most. We didn’t ‘accompany’ them as such, but met up for a few hours on a single day in order to take a few pictures in a few well chosen locations and film a bit of footage in order to put together the resulting book and ‘movie’.
Sarah & Brian’s honeymoon involved travelling by train (the Venice Simplon Orient Express) from London to Venice and then staying a couple of nights at Venice’s most famous hotel, The Cipriani, before travelling back to the UK again by rail.
The result is part ‘art book’ in that we spent some time photographing the landscape of the city (inspired by the works of Canaletto) in order to incorporate it later into the book and some of the filmed sequences (especially the train) influenced by one of the recent Chanel adverts (starring Audrey Tatou).
Firehorse Photography also offer ‘Engagement’, ‘Save The Date’, ‘Post-Wedding’ and ‘Anniversary’ location photo-shoots throughout the UK and the world to both our wedding clients or any other couple, so if this is something of interest, please do contact us as we’re always interested in hearing your ideas.
