Maria & Mark, Middleton Lodge wedding photography

Middleton Lodge just outside the village of Middleton Tyas is without question one of our favourite venues in Yorkshire at which to photograph and film a wedding.

Why? Mainly because it’s relaxed ‘country house for the weekend’ charm with the wedding party tending to take over the place from typically a Friday afternoon until Sunday lunchtime.

Maria & Mark were blessed with a glorious Summer’s day (rare increasingly frequently this so-called ‘Summer’ it seems…) with a ceremony at the beautiful St Joseph & Francis RC church in Richmond, followed by an outdoor drinks reception at Middleton Lodge with meal and dancing in the attached marquee.

Maria wore a wedding dress by Caroline Castigliano and wedding transport came in various forms including; the groom in his own Chrysler Windsor (an enormous lump of metallic blue American metal), the bride in a silver S2 1950′s Bentley and the guests in two late 1940′s Bristol buses.

The flowers were by Anne-Marie Wilkinson, the cake from ‘The Velvet Cupcake’ in Otley and music provided during the day and evening by Anna Reay and her band with the couple honeymooning in the South of France and Corsica.
