25th June began as a somewhat dull day weather-wise and even promised a few showers…but ended up quite early on being a glorious Summer’s day.
Colette wore a stunning wedding dress from fashion designer, ‘Clinton Lotter’ sourced from ‘Blackburn Bridal’ in Blackheath, London and the groom a bespoke morning suit made in Sweden.
The ceremony took place at the delightful country church in Magdalen Laver (yes, it does sound like a village from ‘Midsummer Murders’, – Badgers Drift is allegedly not so far away…) with the bride arriving in a white and black 1950′s jag, followed by a marquee reception in the paddock adjoining Colette’s parents family home.
John’s cousin’s fiancee Christiane was responsible for all the flowers with cake from ‘Maisy Fantasie’ of London, marquee by ‘Chelmer Marquees’, trio playing during the drinks reception was ‘The Morellos’ catering by ‘Rare Food’ with music by ‘DJ Geoff Groves’.
The couple are currently on honeymoon in various places in France and the full gallery will be available to view upon their return.
Oh and PS: in case you were wondering what was going on during the speeches, – that was a game of ‘heads and tails’!
There is something very special and personal about marquee weddings, especially when they take place at the family home…and we can’t get enough of them, so if you are looking for a wedding photographer and/or wedding film-maker who absolutely love marquee weddings (and not all photographers do), then look no further than us, Firehorse Photography, – we love ‘em!
